just streak goes by your phone's calendar day, wherever you are. A day starts and ends at midnight on your phone's clock, and there's no separate "home" time zone.
When you travel:
- Check off by local midnight. "Today" is today where you are now. If you land late, you still have until midnight local time.
- Days can feel shorter or longer. Flying east shortens your day, flying west stretches it. Plan the check-off for the day you'll be traveling.
- Open the app after you arrive. Reminders are rebuilt whenever you open just streak, so opening it once lines them up with your new time zone.
Daylight saving time changes don't move your days, so the switch in spring or fall won't cost you a streak.
If a travel day does slip by, a streak shield covers it automatically, as long as you have enough for every missed day. See When do streak shields kick in?
Past days can't be checked off later, so it's worth setting a reminder before a long trip. See How to change your reminder time.
